His eyes were filled with tears so wrapped up in his hurt and pain he did not know Lena had entered the falls.
After she removed her robe, she noticed Vincent was there. He was crying. She had to help him. Climbing into the water she went to him and hugged him
"Vincent what's wrong?"
"I have lost Catherine." And he hugged her back needing comfort.
"Let me help you ease your pain Vincent". She began rubbing his penis.
Vincent was so lost to himself he didn't stop her.
When Lena felt him harden, she wrapped her legs around his waist taking him inside her and made love to him. Hoping to ease his pain Vincent blocked their Bond and returned her lovemaking.
Catherine woke up the following morning with a terrible hangover and Tom was gone. She wondered why she was naked but had no idea Tom had made love to her.
After last night Catherine knew she would never love any one but Vincent. She didn't need two weeks, taking a quick shower and popping a couple of aspirin she headed Below to get Vincent back.
She went to him chamber. He wasn't there so she decided to look for him at the falls.
Arriving there she as shocked and hurt by the sight before her. Though the Bond was closed the force of Catherine's emotions woke Vincent up. Opening his eyes he was laying on the side of the falls buried deep inside Lena's body and Catherine was there.
"I'm sorry Vincent, I didn't mean to intrude on you."
"I will be going". Vincent felt her hurt and pain like a knife in his back. Withdrawing from Lena he grabbed his robe and ran after her.
"Catherine wait?"
"Why Vincent?"
"Catherine we need to talk."
"Vincent what is there to say?"
"Lena's your lover now."

"No Catherine, Lena and I made love but we are not lovers."

Vincent returned to the falls to find Lena waiting for him.While he was gone Lena had removed her diaphragm.

Vincent and Catherine have not had any contact with each other for a month now.Lena left the falls three weeks ago.She and Vincent never made love again.Catherine was Above going on with her life as best she could.She was miserable so was Vincent.They needed each other,Peter came to see Catherine at least twice a week.He knew she and Vincent had separated.Knowing how she loved him, he knew she was deeply hurt and wanted to make sure she was OK.Six weeks after the breakup, Peter was visiting Catherine.She went to get up from the couch to get a cup of tea and swayed.
"Catherine are you all right?"
"Yes Peter.I'll be fine.All I do is rest a moment and the nausea and dizziness will pass."
"Catherine have you had this before?"
"Yes Peter.Over the past two weeks." "It comes and goes."

Below Vincent wasn't feeling himself either.The stress over the last couple of weeks was taking a toll on his as well.He was experiencing occasional nausea and dizziness.Father wanted to examine him but Vincent said no he would be all right.Catherine arrived at Peter's office the next day.He took a look at her and told her she was pregnant.Catherine didn't know what to expect but it certainly wasn't that.
"Catherine sweety, what are you going to do?"
"Peter you know how much I love children and financially I have more than enough to take care of a child."
"That's not what I meant, Catherine."
"What are you going to do about Vincent?"
"It's his child."
"Yes it is Vincent's child but I am not going to tell him and neither are you. Peter it is over between us.Vincent ended our relationship not me."
"Well dear it is your decision."
"You do know though, you will have to deliver the baby at home."
"Yes Peter I, know."
"Allright sweety, you can go."
"Take care of yourself and the baby."
"I want to see you again in two weeks."

In Catherine's fifth month, she ran into Tom at the local diner.He was shocked too see her pregnant. He had not seen her since that night she passed out. He called her during that time hoping to rekindle their relationship but she told him no. He never told her that he had made love to her that night when she was out cold. He was too ashamed to tell her. Seeing her pregnant he realized she had someone else in her life. The child couldn't be his. He and Catherine had found out early in their relationship that he was sterile. So he felt no need to mention the incident. They ate dinner and he left. On her way back home, Catherine decided to take a walk in the park. It was a cool September evening she only needed a light sweater. After her walk she returned home.
"Vincent, Vincent.Where are you"...entering his chamber."?
"I'm in here Kipper what is it?"
"Guess who I saw today in the park?"
"I don't know who did you see?"
"I saw Catherine." "She didn't see me though." "She seemed sad."
"Maybe because she had put on some weight."
"Catherine was sad and she had gained weight?"
"Yes Vincent she gained weight but it was only in her belly."
"You know how Olivia looked when she was having her baby?"
"Kipper are you telling me Catherine is pregnant?"
"Yes I guess I am."
"Well thank you for telling me." "You can run along now."
After Kipper left Vincent sat at his writing desk."Catherine is pregnant."
"I guess she found someone else to love."

"He still loved her so." He wanted her to find someone else.
"I just hope she is happy." Opening the Bond for the first time in months, he felt her sadness."Should I go to her or should I not." "It has been five months since I saw her or even talked to her. "I cannot just go to her can I?"Vincent decided to stay Below. Catherine was no longer in his life and he closed the Bond once more. In her seventh month Catherine was at home getting ready to spend the New Year alone. Peter and his daugher were to spend it with her.He was called away on an emergency and his daughter was stuck at the airport.The heavy snow storm closed the Denver airport and she couldn't come.
